INFORMATION THE COMPANY COLLECTS FROM YOU

Active Information Collection

Our policy is to collect the minimum amount of information necessary. The only personally identifiable information that Zula collects on the Site is a user's email address and, if different, the user's parent's email address. This information is collected only to respond to a user's request for general updates by email regarding the Site and to notify a parent of the user's request, respectively.

No other personally identifiable information is collected on the site. While we collect usernames and passwords for individual users, users should not use their real names as their usernames. We also collect information from users through surveys and other mechanisms to improve this Site and the services that we provide to our users, but none of this information is personally identifiable information.

Zula may use "cookie" technology to enhance a visitor's online experience by making it easier to navigate through our Site or to make an activity work better.

Cookies are small pieces of information or files that a website puts on a computer's hard disk for record-keeping purposes. Cookies allow a computer to "remember" information from the Site for future navigation. The use of cookies is an industry standard and is practiced by most major websites. Zula may use cookies and tracking technologies in a variety of ways, including:

  • Keeping track of your username and password to allow for easy navigation through the site.
  • Accumulating and reporting anonymous, aggregate (data collected in mass), statistical information on website

We believe children's privacy is critically important. We therefore comply with the requirements of the Children's Online Privacy and Protection Act (COPPA). For purposes of this Site, we are collecting only limited information for limited use and are complying with the requirements of COPPA related to this scope. General Policy

Zula provides parents with the right to have Zula discontinue the general email updates to the child and/or delete the child's information. We will then promptly send a notification by email to the parent's email address and inform the parent of the available rights, including the right to opt out. We will continue to send general updates by email unless and until we receive notification from the parent.

Opt Out Procedures
